Infertility may be the problem if a woman doesn't become pregnant after one year of trying to conceive. The problem could be with one partner or both. However, the number of people who really are infertile is actually very small.


There are many possible reasons why conception may be difficult. Drinking alcohol to excess, smoking, poor diet and stress are all contributing factors but also:

Male infertility

anatomical defects

scar tissue fron healed infections

low sperm count caused by low testosterone levels

Female infertility

irregular ovulation or not ovulating at all

scarred or blocked fallopian tubes

endometriosis

polysystic ovary syndrome

Anxiety over not being able to conceive can, in fact, prevent conception. It becomes a vicious circle as the more worried one becomes the less likely you are to become pregnant.

Research has shown that Reflexology treatments can enhance a couple's chances of conceiving the much wanted child. Reflexology relaxes both body and mind, balances the hormones, and harmonises the body's systems.
